I absolutely love this book. I am always trying to teach my kids how to be kind to others, how to love, how to respect ... this book is just great! It explains in a simple way how we can be good to one another, and offers a powerful visualization in the form of a bucket. My daughter will sometimes say, out of the blue "I love you", and then tell me she's filling my bucket.

I would recommend to anyone, child or adult, to buy this book. I will probably keep reading this book to my kids ... into their teens if they'll let me!

Buy it - you won't be disappointed!

What a great project to do with a group. I work with Special needs Adults. This project is implemented with the group. It is such a basic book. Great for team building with adults as well as with young children. The Special needs group will benefit.

5.0 out of 5 stars Practical followup to Fill A Bucket for young children
Helps the child relate the concept to the world around them with some practical examples. Again the 5 year old boy related better to it than the 7 year old girl

5.0 out of 5 stars would recommend
Beautifully said and illustrated, my 5 yr. old granddaughter understood the concept right away because the lesson is so visual, basically an anti-bullying book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Important story
The illustrations are very average, but the story sends such a great message, and one that sticks with kids. This should be read every year to kids throughout elementary school. Read more

1.0 out of 5 stars Have You Filled a Bucket Today?
Love the idea - don't like the format of the book. I thought it was story outlining how little ones could fill someone's bucket or their own. Instead it just explained the idea. Read more
