This is an excellent collection of slasher films, 3 out of the 4 of them decent remakes. Each is on a separate DVD, all professionally labeled. The DVDs are not replicas jammed onto two flip side discs that are chinsy and poor quality (which I hate). These are the originals professionally labeled as I said with main menu etc. There are the exact same DVDs you would get if you bought them separately however you are of course missing the individual packages and information that would come with them. If you are just looking to watch the DVDs (as most are) than this is a fantastic buy for ~$12 as you save a lot compared to buying them separately. Excellent video and audio quality on both TVs and laptops, no complaints. The reason I knock off a star is because of the way these are packaged. Instead of having a divider in the middle of the case with two on either side and a slot for each there is one slot with a tall center piece and they are all stacked on top of each other. None were scratched but not sure what's up with that packaging, never seen it before and it's inconvenient when looking for a film as you have to take them all out.

As far as the movies go I'll give a brief no spoiler review.

The Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake 4.5/5 stars: As a big fan of the original (which I recommend and think you need to watch before watching this) I didn't expect to enjoy this as much as I did. It is much more emotionally intense than I would have imagined and you really come to feel for the characters. The acting to begin with isn't great and makes you think this will be a poorly done B level film. However the acting gets much better and becomes much more believable. The film is not an exact remake but a takeoff. I recommend despite the fact it was panned by critics, but it isn't for everyone.

Friday the 13th remake 3/5: Also not bad. Not great either and not the best remake I've ever seen but I think they did the original film justice, just made it a little more extreme. Like Chainsaw this was also more of a takeoff than an actual remake.

A Nightmare on Elm Street remake 4/5: I also liked this remake despite the fact it wasn't well received by critics. The acting from the two main characters was very good and realistic and I think that's what did the film for me. Worth watching but it does deviate quite a bit from the original.

Amusement: Not sure how to rate this. As these films come in packs of four so this film was a freebie. Certainly the weakest of the 4 and can be watched if you're very bored with nothing to do, don't expect to be impressed though.
