Over 20 years ago, someone told me about this movie, and it then touched my imagination. While surfing trough Amazon's selection of blu-rays, I encountered this title. I watched with attention. It turned out to be an average movie. In today's standards, it looks a bit cheap. The story, instead of playing with the effects of time travel on the future, focuses on what to do and not to do that could influence the future, and on the guy who doesn't make it back with the rest of the armada in the future, stays stuck in the past, gets older and must avoid contact with himself before he departs for this formidable adventure. Only when the armada comes back can he begin to really exist. This guy probably got rich because during all those years left in the past, he was the only one that already knew the future and could predict it. The story doesn't tell how he managed to do that.
