Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time

Not much is changed from the DS version, it's one of the better ones they released with the Final Fantasy brand attached in some time. But more of a FF Adventure. It's nice that games like this at least have subtitles.

THIS ISN'T YOUR TYPICAL FINAL FANTASY GAME EITHER SO JUST BEING AN FF FAN WON'T ALWAYS BE ENOUGH, IT IS MORE OF AN ACTION RPG THAN A TRADITIONAL RPG.This game is a lot like the Gamecube version of Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles except it removes the Crystal Chalice that was a mandatory traveling item. Aside from that you also now have the ability to jump for better or for worse. I personally enjoy it, since you can beat some bosses easily by jumping on them and attacking them from somewhere on their body (I won't mention which bosses to avoid spoiling too much). You can craft items which will cost you about as much Gil as buying new equipment which will be outdated compared to the equipment that you can craft when they're available. I mention this because it usually gives you the option to think about how you want to prepare for the tasks ahead of you. Unfortunately I have not yet tried to play the game online so I cannot give a review about the online features. The dual screens can be a bit troublesome and makes this game best played on tv screens larger than 13 inches (note either screen can be increased and decreased in size to suit the needs at the given time). I can't say much about the soundtrack as I was paying very little attention to it but, I will say that there is some voice overs in the game which is a welcome change as far as I`m concerned. Quests are not all the same so the game doesn`t always feel like kill x amount of monsters in that location. Anyway I like the game and I hope anyone looking into it will enjoy it too. Definitely recommended to anyone that are fans of Crystal Chronicles.

We bought this for our son as he has the others and he LOVED it ..just an awesome game and the graphics are amazing
