This book was passed on to me by a good friend. After reading it, I came to Amazon to order copies for friends and family with young kids just starting out in sports. Very well written and was difficult to put down. One of my friends son's read it from cover to cover in an afternoon. I would also add that it is a good book to have on your book shelf for reference when a child has had a difficult day in school or on the course. We all could benefit from taking a step back and focusing on the lessons of the Golf Gods: confidence, honesty, judgment, respect and perseverance. I give this book a "buy and hold" rating!

My kids and I love to play golf, so I thought this book would be a fun thing to read together. There just aren't many books aimed at younger players--particularly fiction. We really enjoyed it. The book has wonderful, positive messages throughout. And a big focus on the mental aspects of playing the game. Wish this would have been out when I was growing up. Maybe I could have avoided some of the mental mistakes I continue to make on the course. Where were you Ti Ming and Tem Po when I five-putted during a tournament?! Was also impressed that Dr. Bob Rotella wrote the foreword.

I bought this book to read to my 6 year old grandson in hopes that it might plant the golf seed in his mind. It is a little more detailed than I thought but he still might be able to grasp it. I try to never underestimate the mind of a child. It is a combination of stories about two figures that touch peoples lives in different ways, teaching them moralistic lessons . It's cute.
