Saw Johnny Reid on Canada AM and decided to check out the new album.
The songs are heart-felt and real, nothing false or contrived.
His voice is amazing, particularly on the ballad 'dedicated to you' which is a real
stand-out. Also like the title cut and 'walking on water'. The whole album is wonderful and I now need to get the rest of his albums....

I bought this for my dear wife Ellen as a Easter gift. She (and I) like the music immensely. Johnny Reid co-wrote all the songs. It is well worth it to get the deluxe version for the extra songs and the DVD. Haven't watched the DVD yet.

I bought the deluxe edition thinking the DVD would be of Johnny Reid doing the songs on stage. It turns out to be just him talking, driving around and some very basic behind the scenes stuff that was, frankly, boring. In retrospect I would of been better off with just buying the CD as I fine it quite good. Unless you just love seeing Johnny Reid talk, skip the Deluxe version and just buy the CD.

I got this for my wife for Christmas. She absolutely loves to listen to Johnny Reid. I had to copy it so she has a copy in case the original stops working.

This singer is fantastic, love his Scottish accent and is really cute and so down to earth. His concert was a blast, and very friendly with the Audiance, circulating around after to shake you hand, He is Canadian, of course, and I highly recommend his C.D.'s if you have not bought any.

Plain & simple, people are in love with the eighties. Get a raspy voiced guy and fit him with Bob Seger & John Mellencamp sounding songs and you have a....Canadian country artist!? This wouldn't work in US country markets but north of the border Johnny's a huge seller. It's a refreshing CD compared to everything else being released in today's market and worth a buy or download. Nothing horribly groundbreaking or original, but then again, most people like it that way. Perfect for the out on the deck having a BBQ and for the mass of Canadian music fans evidently. Thumbs up for something other than a cookie cutter artist! If Rod Stewart, Seger or Mellencamp released a new CD, people would want it to sound like Johnny Reid. Give the sound bites a listen.
