Two time Juno Award winner and multi-platinum singer-songwriter, Johnny Reid releases 'Fire It Up' on March 13th, 2012. Produced by Reid, 'Fire It Up' follows 2010's Juno Award winning album, 'A Place Called Love'.
Over the course of the past 6 years, Reid has been inspiring many with his songs that stand the test of time as demonstrated by the success of his past four albums and DVD's - all certified platinum (or higher) in Canada and totaling more than 1 million units scanned.
'A Place Called Love' (2010), debuted at No. 1 and spent 4 weeks at the top of the SoundScan Top 200 Album Chart. Reid has been the recipient of several CCMA Awards, multiple Top 10 radio singles and No. 1 videos and in 2011 he was honoured with the Slaight Music Humanitarian Award which recognized his outstanding efforts on behalf of organizations such as the World Vision Foundation, Children's Aid Foundation and the Make A Wish Foundation of Canada.
This deluxe version will be housed in a double CD jewelcase, complete with slipcase, embossing, bonus (making of 'Fire It Up' documentary) DVD, and two bonus songs.

Plain & simple, people are in love with the eighties. Get a raspy voiced guy and fit him with Bob Seger & John Mellencamp sounding songs and you have a....Canadian country artist!? This wouldn't work in US country markets but north of the border Johnny's a huge seller. It's a refreshing CD compared to everything else being released in today's market and worth a buy or download. Nothing horribly groundbreaking or original, but then again, most people like it that way. Perfect for the out on the deck having a BBQ and for the mass of Canadian music fans evidently. Thumbs up for something other than a cookie cutter artist! If Rod Stewart, Seger or Mellencamp released a new CD, people would want it to sound like Johnny Reid. Give the sound bites a listen.

Saw Johnny Reid on Canada AM and decided to check out the new album.The songs are heart-felt and real, nothing false or contrived. His voice is amazing, particularly on the ballad 'dedicated to you' which is a real stand-out. Also like the title cut and 'walking on water'. The whole album is wonderful and I now need to get the rest of his albums....
