The cover art is great -- one of my favorite covers of all time. Here's where you miss the big vinyls with their expansive room for cover art.

The music is great, too, both instrumentally and vocally. My ear detects some America influence on the harmonies, and of course unmistakable Eagles influence through and through.

It's too bad this group was mostly a flash in the pan. This effort, their first, was far and away their best.

I want to mention that Firefall's drummer was Mike Clarke, who was also in a little 60's band you may have heard of called the Byrds.

I previewed the Greatest Hits CD at a local store, and ya know what? The first 6 tracks were all from this CD, Firefall's first. I didn't really care for much of the rest of the Greatest Hits. So many greatest hits compilations are filled with stuff I just don't want. I'll sacrifice having 20 tracks for a more limited number, like on this CD ... because it makes the CD a "play through," there's just nothing I have to skip!
