A terrific introduction to beekeeping for beginners. I have referred back to it countless times during my first two years of keeping honeybees. Dr. Delaplane's writing style is concise and to the point, and there is not a wasted word in the book. I believe that Dr. Delaplane is also a researcher investigating the cause or causes of Colony Collapse Disorder, and I certainly wish him success with that undertaking.

Covers the basics of beekeeping in brief, but elegant detail. I recommend it for introduction to beekeeping classes. I wish Amazon would stock more copies. It is available directly from Dadant, the publisher.
