A workout you will LOOK FORWARD to!!!,

Since the birth of my son, I have been looking to get back into shape. Well, no matter what your fitness goals are, this inexpensive yet invaluable DVD will not let you down. It provides the perfect combination of strengthening, toning, and stretching. Niedra Gabriel, the instructor/choreographer, is patient and understanding, giving modifications so that anyone can get the perfect level of challenge. Part 1 is every exercise featured as a marvelous dance that alternates stretching and strength training. It is challenging, yet exhilarating, and, personally, I get lost in it. Turn it up loud; the music (which thoughtfully changes every minute or so) is entertaining, thought-provoking, and encourages a great mood. Don't worry if Part 1 is too much; Niedra says herself that "the goal is to be able to do Part 1 without interruption". Part 2 is a comprehensive guide to each exercise (and there are many!) complete with at least 2 different variations (beginner/advanced). It is essentially the same workout, but with a patient, friendly, informative, and most of all understanding instructor with over thirty years experience under her (size S) belt! Buy it and you will be taken by pleasant surprise.

I really enjoy this DVD. I've been into yoga for a while and do aerial circus training once a week. Pilates has always been of interest to me, and I finally got this DVD and gave it a shot. The instructional segment is about 45 minutes long and perfect for beginners, I have back and hip problems but was able to do the moves smoothly within 3 sessions. After a week and a half or so, I switched to the routine and still find myself challenged 3 weeks later. I also got another DVD which is segmented into beginning, intermediate and advanced, and was pleased to find that there are some 'advanced' exercises included in this workout! I doubt I will ever outgrow the routine, though I'm about to the point where I am going to put my own music on.

I absolutely LOVE this DVD. It is short and to the point which is what I need given my time schedule. In 20 minutes you get a great pilates workout. She also throws in a lot of fun moves to make this DVD a lot of fun to do.
