From the Inside Flap
Call me Lawson. I work out of Boston, where human beings are just another part of the food chain. As a vampire, I should know. We don't drink much, just enough to keep our engines running. Any more and we would draw attention to ourselves - something the Council frowns upon.
The members of the Council believe we can coexist with the humans. Some vamps disagree. That's where I come in. I'm a Fixer. When a nosferatu gets delusions of grandeur about taking over the world, it's my job to take them out - with extreme prejudice.
Cosgrove is one such megalomaniac. Last time we tangled, he butchered fifty people. Now, the Council understands the threat he represents, and I've been ordered to sanction him. But Cosgrove has no qualms about draining the humans he feeds from, giving him strength and agility I can't possibly combat - unless I resort to his methods...
