Awesome Blaze!!!!!! -Perfect Summer Beach Read, July 23 2008

Soap opera star Kenzie Stafford is back in Santa Rey to mourn her dead firefighter brother and clear his name. There is just no way that the brother she loves could have been an arsonist and murderer. Too bad that firefighter Aidan Donnelly keeps getting in her way. He is the man who broke her heart six years ago. And she is not going to let that happen again. No way. This time its Kenzie who is going to be the one to wave bye bye just as soon as she finds out whose behind those explosive fires.Awesome book! This is why I read Blaze. Sizzling hot characters that melt the pages and a well paced action plot that had me hooked from page one. And this one has an unrequited love story which one of my favorites. All this conveniently packaged in 230pages or less.
Love the characters here; Aidan is a too die for hunky hero who realizes quickly the huge mistake he made by letting Kenzie years ago. And he'll take anything she can give him and more. Kenzie needs to open up her heart again and allow the only other man besides her brother back in. And Aidan is just the man to show her how to love again even if she throws it back in his face.
Flashback is the second in the firefighter? series. I didn't read the previous one in the series Flashpoint (Harlequin Blaze) but you don't have too. A great stand alone book for some HOT summer romance reading.
I also highly recommend another Blaze by Shalvis -

I don't summarize stories in my reviews because you can read the description for the general idea. Plus, I don't like to give away too much if someone wants to read it. Having grown up down a fire house because of a fireman father, with several uncles and now cousins that are fireman, and a fireman husband, Jill totally captured their true mentality. But made them even hotter! I really loved the back and forth of Kenzie's emotions about Aidan. It was kind of nice to see a guy on the other side for a change. But I also loved that Aidan wasn't able to hold back and let her know his true feelings.The twist at the end blew me away. I started to suspect who the mystery man was but that wasn't the only surprise. Like another reviewer, I read this one before the first, Flashpoint. I bought them at the same time but didnt' realize I started with the second. If you love fireman, and hot romance drama, you will love Jill Shalvis' world. Now, off to read Flashpoint!!!
