A darker and more grown-up look at the world of ancient Rome in the last days of the emperor Domitian, but still with the same attention to place, detail and historical accuracy.
About the Author
Caroline Lawrence is American. She won a scholarship to Cambridge to read Classical Archaeology, then did a degree in Hebrew and Jewish Studies at University College, London.
