Tbe Flexcut Slipstrop is a very effective way to strop carving/whittling tools and knives. In fact, it has even put a fine, razor's edge on my pocket knife. I could not be more happy with the ease and effectiveness of this product. I just began whittling, and have a couple of Flexcut knives and a v gouge. I think Flexcut, over all, is a fine choice for woodworking tools! The fact that this product was only $14.50 just made it that much better. All the other strops I saw were much more expensive, and many were not rated very well. Also, I must say that Hartford Tools (the company that shipped my slipstrop) got my order here almost next day. In all, one of the best Amazon experiences I've had.

This kit is wonderful. I have a Flexcut carving set (11 pieces). I found the shapes for the gouges and V tools fit my tools exactly, and the sharpening compound is terrific.
