5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely breathtaking!! Dec 8 2005

On its own the music for this movie (written by Christopher Young) is enough to give you goosebumps and take your breath away all at the same time. The orchestra, combination of instruments and the way it was written is brilliant. Some of the best I have ever heard.

For Flowers In The Attic... it truly made this movie, it gave it that Flowers In The Attic essence. There is no way anyone anywhere could have composed a better soundtrack for this movie then Christopher Young.

I love listening to this CD, its emotional, tranquil and almost therapeutic. Some of the songs are so relaxing and beautiful if played at night you will drift off into a wonderful slumber.

I highly suggest finding this CD for yourself whether you enjoyed the movie or not. It can stand on its own as a wonderful part of your CD collection. You will not be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful, haunting soundtrack Oct. 1 2012

I will admit that I was disappointed with the Flowers in the Attic movie, but I loved Christopher Young's soundtrack. It is the perfect accompaniment for the dark, gothic style that the filmmakers used for the movie. The combination of the orchestra with the haunting, eerie vocals is very evocative. It makes you feel how these children would have felt. The movie came out when I was fairly young - I remember the soundtrack actually being scary to me. Today I listen to it and can hear its brilliance and beauty.

The reason people sell it for so much is because it's been out of print for a long time and is incredibly difficult to find. I once owned a copy but ended up selling it (for exactly the same price I paid, which was $70, I believe). It's rather sad that they haven't released it again. again.
