I have other fluke meters, cost more , than $500, but this one much better for an every day use. Quicker, than any of my digital meters. Durable. My old one, dropped many times, but still works, as when it was new. I got this one, as a future replacement, just in case. I'm an industrial electrician, and this is great for that to.

Bought this tester for work. I needed something that could test for voltage and continuity (Ohms) as well as being inexpensive in the event of lost or stolen. The current feature is a bonus. I really like the robustness of the design and the simplistic selector switch that can be used while wearing high voltage gloves. The display is also very simple and not cluttered with useless information. The test lead holder on one side make's it nice to operate with two hands. And let's not forget it's a Fluke. There are other options/makes out there, but Fluke makes some of the best equipment on the market and I trust their quality assurance. For a really simple and tough tester, you can't go wrong with this one.

Probably the best tester on the market, don't confuse a tester and a digital volt mulit-meter. The only thing Fluke should do is make it so it will except up to 200 amp readings, instead of the current 100amp. The jaws would also need to be modified for the larger cable size. As always fluke has this part of the market wrapped up. 5/5

I have not used this a lot but it seems like a good unit for a budget price.

It does not seem to have fused leed's and is not useful for measuring partial voltages as it only reads 1v 2v and not 1.5volts but you can use a cheap meter for that as safety is not an issue at that level.
