About the Author
Anthony J. Route is Alaskas premier flyfishing writer. A student of the sport, Tonys extensive field research done each season has culminated in three books, "Flyfishing Alaska," "Flies for Alaska," and " The Kenai River Journal." He has worked as a fisheries technician, guide, sport-fishing consultant, and commercial fly tier. He is also a trained aquatic entomologist. In addition to teaching flyfishing at the University of Alaska, Anchorage, writing a flyfishing column for the "Anchorage Daily News," and traveling around the country putting on shows and seminars, Tony is a full-time freelance writer and photographer who lives in Anchorage, Alaska.
