4.0 out of 5 stars Folding paper, in 8 colors with gold foil piece. 40 sheets., Jun 30 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Folding Paper For Origami Large 8 49 Sheets (Paperback)
You can make your own folding paper. Simply fold any sheet of paper diagonally, making a triangle. Do not crease the fold line. If the sides match where the paper meets, you have a square. If not, cut off excess paper, so that you have a perfect square. When I was a kid, I would even use newspaper and paper bags to make my own folding paper. 4 to 6 inch squares are the usual size used in classes. These sheets are bigger. 40 sheets, 8 colors (on one side, reverse side white) and a gold sheet. I haven't used it yet, but at least you can now figure out what you are buying.

4.0 out of 5 stars Lightweight paper, cut well, April 15 2008
By Aimee Cowles - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Folding Paper For Origami Large 8 49 Sheets (Paperback)
This paper is of fair to good quality. It is not very heavy and easy to use for folding. The color on each sheet is on one side; the backsides are white. The package states, "6 vibrant colors, plus gold foil". Technically, there is one gold sheet, four solid colors (red, purple, yellow and green), and two prints (orange with a white design that looks like repeated asterisks, and cyan-blue with white flowers blossoms). The prints look nice in my completed origami projects.

The included "booklet" presents instructions for the following origami pieces: Simple Swan, Pig, Tortoise, Samurai Helmet, Rowboat, Star Box. These are perfect for a beginner adult, but a child will definitely need guidance to complete them.
