By Karl - Tiny Thought Guy TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Kindle Edition
With the humorous and light-hearted cartoon compadres that Andrew Matthews has used in his previous books, Follow Your Heart once again guides readers on a journey of self-discovery that ultimately leads to a happier and more fulfilling life. Andrew shows us that by following our hearts we empower ourselves so that we can better deal with the “problems” in our lives, we can discover and pursue the things we love and, in so doing, become successful - understanding of course that success is defined by the individual.

Even if Andrew didn’t write a single word, I believe that his cartoons, in and of themselves, provide valuable insight about this human experience and they are not to be missed.

4.0 out of 5 stars good book July 11 2013
Format:Kindle Edition|Verified Purchase
It seems like there are many books with the same point as this one - you're the master of your own life. I like the way the book is written, and its very easy to read, with real world examples. But it paints a very rosy picture and makes it seem like it's really easy to succeed in life just by changing your thoughts. On that note it also fails to account for various real problems that people have - terrible bosses, dangerous/poor living conditions, corrupt societies, etc

Overall, I think you can gain a lot from reading this book, but you need to be able to apply it to your specific situation and not read it word for word

4.0 out of 5 stars Follow your Heart Sept. 14 2009
What a well written book!
Andrews sense of humor is fabulous.
This book really makes you think about how we look at life and what we have been told to believe by society or parents & teachers isn't how life has to be.
A fantastic read and more than once.

5.0 out of 5 stars One of my all-time favorite books! Dec 29 2003
I also have his "Making Friends" book, which is similar, but this book is the best! It's very simple, Oprah-style advice delivered in a fun way with cartoons and a short paragraph style that means every page holds a great, easy-to-grasp uplifting message. Will make you smile, will make you think, and will probably change your motivation in life for the better! Experience the book for yourself and see if you become a more positive, determined person for it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wow! My purse become lighten............. Dec 26 2003
I am a frugal reader (or you might call me stingy guy...........) I like to read the book in the book shop and not buy the book........
One day, I did my "window shopping" again in the Popular Book Shop (One of the most famous and biggest book shop in Malaysia). I was attracted by the cover of the book- <<Follow your heart>>.
Follow my heart?! Means I could do anything I like?!
Then I started to read the book. And this also became my weekly activity - read the book in Popular.
One month later, I finished read the book and I found that my purse become lighten.........Because I also decided to buy the book. It is my "book of the year". This book is worth to read and also worth to collect. It is easy to digest and widen our thought and vision.
Here I would like to say thanks to Andrew Matthews for writing a wonderful and attracted book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Simply OUTSTANDING! Nov. 2 2003
By Vishal
This book is simply fantabulous! The moment I saw it, I got it, without thinking twice. And I finished 40% of the book the first night, a big deal for a person who goes to sleep after reading a few pages off a book. I must say that Andrew has done an outstanding job explaining some of the most profound truths of our universe in such a fun and interesting manner. I come from a deeply spiritual background and so as I was reading the book, it reinforced many of the things which I had somewhat forgotten. I had always had trouble explaining to my friends the concept of detachment, manifestation and abundance, because I always got very spiritual and lost my audience. Now I am gonna lend this book to all my friends, cos it does what I have always wanted to do, in such a wonderful manner. And it is also so funny, and colourful, it makes you want to read page after page non-stop. And some of the information was so striking that I horripilated!
I would strongly recommend this book to anyone who really wants to positively change "something" in his/her life e.g. in relationships, finances, career etc. Even if you think you know it all, get it! It's not whether you know it that matters. It's whether you will decide to use what you know that matters. And after reading 40% of this book, I have made many decisions. And I am ABSOLUTELY CERTAIN that Life Will Never Be The Same Again!
Thank you so much for this wonderful gift Andrew. Your book deserves 7 Stars: *******

5.0 out of 5 stars Metaphysical Cartoonist Oct. 25 2002
Andrew Matthews is that rare breed who has the ability to tell it like it is, and the subject he talks about is perhaps the most difficult topic ever pondered by mankind - "Who Am I, Why Am I here, and What Am I Supposed to do?"
Matthews' series of life instruction booklets comes in an easy-on-the-eyes format with simple morsels of bite-size, easy to digest staples of tried and tested wisdom.
In fact, it's so deceivingly simple that you might underestimate the true healing power represented by the wisdom of the sages, or ages - Christianity, Buddhism, Yankee Ingenuity, Cosmic Laws, Fatal Character Flaws, etc.
You name it, and Matthews has a recipe. The testimonials alone show that this book has changed peoples' lives (which is what Matthews claims we are supposed to be doing anyways, so I guess he practices what he preaches).
Anyways, don't take my word for it, check it out for yourself if you are in need for the purest form of self-healing.
