Good tale of two scarred souls.,

Vanessa Bradley has a complicated relationship with her mother. Following her father's death, her mother asked her to move back home, and she complied. However, their relationship does not improve. Her parents had been world travelers, and in reaction, Vanessa seeks stability in everything. So when she meets a fine-looking man, Xavier Johnson, and he later fails to call, she tries to put him from her mind. Months later she meets him at a street fair. She pays as little attention to him as she can, but her mother tricks them both into a date. When they recognize the trap, Vanessa leaves, feeling betrayed by both her mother and Xavier. Vanessa's mother goes to Australia to find her dead husband in the Dreamtime somehow... and she doesn't come home. Vanessa goes to Australia to find her mother. Xavier also heads to Australia to patch up his deal with the Aborigines, and decides to help Vanessa in her quest.

Though she had made a few friends in Atlanta, Vanessa has always been a loner and though she is in her thirties, she never had a serious relationship with anyone. This includes her parents who raised and nurtured her, but truly were too deeply wrapped up with one another. To Vanessa's shock, Xavier Johnson wins a volunteer award for his participation in women's shelters and similar issues. Males just do not do that kind of thing at least in Vanessa's mind. Still when Xavier and Vanessa meet, they click. Her mother Jackie decides that an Australian Aborigine art show will allow her to communicate with her dead spouse. Xavier is also involved in the exhibit. When Jackie vanishes, a frantic Vanessa turns to Xavier for help in finding her missing mother. Together they seeking the lost poetess while traveling the world in pursuit, but find a deep love at the same time. FOLLOW' A DREAM is an exciting ethnic romance that takes readers on quite a journey with the ultimate destination being that of a loving relationship. The story line is fast paced and quite enjoyable, but requires a bit of acceptance. The characters make the tale spin as the lead protagonists are one heck of a duo and the support cast helps the reader understand the emotions and motives of Vanessa and the X-Man.
