Great, cheaper alternative to pre-made bags,

These heat-seal rolls are great. The bags one can make are a lot cheaper than those one buys, especially if one wants to vacuum seal things in single serve portions (for sous vide cooking, for example). The more one uses the rolls, the more one figures out exactly how big one needs to make the bags for one's own purposes.I now use the premeasured bags only for packaging large single items or as a backup to the rolls, since Amazon seems to have some problems getting the rolls into stock for shipping. Once one figures out how quickly one goes through a roll, one can always order larger numbers of rolls as one approaches running out, I guess.

These bags are NOT zipper bags as advertised. They are FoodSaver heat seal bags and cannot be used with the FoodSaver Fresh Saver model. This is what I wanted Foodsaver Zipper Bag 18Ct Qt Fsfrbz0216-000 and what I thought I was getting given the description.Amazon has been very good about returns. I so wish I didn't have to return them the second time.
