1.0 out of 5 stars I don't think this was written by a foodie March 3 2013
Format:Kindle Edition
At first glance this e-book cookbook was decent, the recipes weren't overly bad but there was very little in the way of anything new or creative. On second glance you notice all the processed foods in the ingredients, such as American cheese or jars of pesto. Immediately I though "wait a moment, what self respecting foodie would use processed cheese slices???" The bottled pesto, maybe, but processed cheese slices? Unheard of.

If the e-book had left out the word "foodie" the book might, and I stress might, deserve 2 stars for the few recipes that are creative/slightly original...but with the misleading title I can't give it anything more than 1 star.

I'd recommend the author change the title, and include some original recipes, most found within can be found in dozens of other e-books/books and of course dozens of recipe websites and blogs.

5.0 out of 5 stars Recipes for favorite appetizers April 19 2012

I opened this cookbook and was delighted to find favorites, and variations on old favorites. There's an entire section on Dips and Salsas, and another section on Dipping Sauces, as well as on general appetizers. Whether you're looking for deviled eggs, brushetta, stuffed jalapenos, sweet and sour sauce, mini meatballs, pizza puffs, or other tasty treats, this cookbook has many suggestions for your next occasion or celebration.

5.0 out of 5 stars Delicious New Options April 25 2012

My family loves to have appetizer night where we serve several different appetizers instead of a normal sit down meal. We love to put the choices out and nibble until it's all gone. This book has some new recipes that we've not seen or tried before. We're always looking for new things to try, so I couldn't pass this book up when I saw it. We've already given the thumbs up to the cheddar artichoke hearts, the mini Chinese egg rolls, and the pizza puffs. These three things that we had last night were so easy to make and the book gives excellent directions.

This is my kind of book. I dont like fussing with recipes and even food preparation.

That doesnt mean I dont entertain - and this book will be my first choice when Im preparing finger food/appetizers.

Picked this book up on recommendation from a friend and boy am I happy with it! The cookbook has a wide variety of appetizers ranging from vegetarian, to Italian, to down south all the way to NY. The bacon wrapped jalapenos are so delicious! I'm planning on making the walnut and gorgonzola grapes this weekend. If you are looking for a solid collection of appetizers that are sure to please, this is the book to get.
