Product Description

There is a startling gap between the glamorous television world of “CSI” and the gritty reality of the forensic crime lab. In Forensics on Trial, NOVA investigates how modern forensics can send innocent men and women to prison—and sometimes even to death row. NOVA will investigate today’s shaky state of crime science as well as cutting-edge solutions that could help investigators put the real criminals behind bars.

Great documentary March 9 2013

This film is a few years old, so some things have definitely changed. Disregarding that however, this is an excellently made film.

Illustrates good and bad of forensic technology Feb. 6 2013

A good example of critical thinking about forensic technology. Shows well the issues and things that can, and do, go wrong when technology is applied by those who do not truly understand it. Also shows what is necessary for forensics to move toward in order to prevent such misapplications. Very entertaining and up to the usual standards for NOVA investigations.
