What didn't deviate from the first season was the abundance of exciting and imaginative stories--highlights from season 2 include "Stranger Than Fiction," in which Nick falls for an Ann Rice-like writer; "Father's Day," which partners LaCroix with the Mob; the return of Jack the Ripper in "Bad Blood"; and "Baby Baby," one of two second-season episodes directed (quite well) by Wyn Davies. Extras include Wyn Davies and Parriott providing commentary for two episodes ("Blood Money" and "Killer Instinct"), while Nigel Bennett goes it alone for a pair ("A More Permanent Hell" and "Curiouser and Curiouser"). Parriott and Wyn Davies also appear in a 20-minute featurette (titled, appropriately enough, "About the Show"), and a brief segment in which they answer questions posited by series devotees. In short, season 2 has plenty for FK aficionados to (ahem) sink their teeth into. --Paul Gaita

80s vampires,

This takes the traditional evil vampire and spins it into a different kind of story... Nick Knight is a vampire who hates what he is and wishes to make amends - to this end, he works as a detective, helping to keep the streets safe.

This one was a long wait and worth every minute once it arrived. I had missed several episodes so this was more than just a great thrill as I moved through all the disks. Great to have some of the extras along with much better quality than the first set. When a person realizes they were working with such a small budget it is amazing how well the people make it happen. Yes it would be great to have the next set a little sooner :) I wonder if there is now a possibility of a movie with a bigger budget and keeping as many of the original people as possible? Wouldn't that be wonderful??

It feels like we've been waiting forever for season 2. But thank you to the Powers That Be for finally coming through *and* giving us some extras this time! The interview with Geraint Wyn Davies and James Parriot is great, I just wish it had been longer. Also, the fans' questions section laid a few issues to rest. Grateful, as ever, for whatever we've been given. This is the best season out of the three, IMHO.Anyone who enjoyed the series "Angel" should find this show very worthwhile. Although I'm a big fan of Angel, I find the character of Nick Knight to be much more multi-faceted and interesting, possibly because there isn't a clear separation of his "good" and "evil" sides, the way there is with Angel. Forever Knight was somewhat low-budget, but the writing is generally great (with a few minor lapses) and the regular cast is terrific. What particularly makes this show a treasure, though, is Geraint Wyn Davies' superb acting talent and ability. You can really see that Shakespeare training coming through, especially in the flashbacks. Plus, why is it that Welsh (well, he was born in Wales, anyway) actors have such wonderful voices? It's a great shame that the show was cancelled at the end of its 3rd season. Please, oh, please, let's have season 3 on DVD a little sooner this time - 6 months instead of a whole year!
