5.0 out of 5 stars Unsung hero?, Dec 1 2003
This review is from: How to Form Your Own S Corporation and Avoid Double-Taxation (Paperback)
This book was recommended to me by a friend and I am impressed. This bookis an unsung hero. I guess that is because the author doesn't write a bunch of reviews and guides which are solely set up as informercials to push his overhyped book which isn't that good, I've seen it.

How to Form Your Own S-Corporation and Avoid Double Taxation is a real winner and will tell you what you want to know. Two other good books include Small Business Start-Up Kit: S-Corporations by Dan Sitarz and How To Start Your Own "S" Corporation by Robert A. Cooke. I also recommend The Small Business Legal Kit and Form Your Own Corporation and Launch A Business in Any State by J.W.Dicks.

Good luck with your business.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not bad, but..., Mar 14 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: How to Form Your Own S Corporation and Avoid Double-Taxation (Paperback)
I read this to get an idea of the steps to take in setting up my own S corporation. While this does take you through the steps of incorporating in Delaware, it reads more like an infomercial. The author has a business set up to incorporate you in Delaware, and will do it cheaper than his competitors, says the book. However, it is not very helpful if you want to incorporate in any other state.

2.0 out of 5 stars Good for novices, old info, July 26 1999

I was immediately put off by the old information in a fast changing area of practice. No usable forms, not a real how-to, just a primer
