4.0 out of 5 stars Chris Brown's Musical Fortune July 25 2012
By Stella Carrier TOP 100 REVIEWER
Format:Audio CD
I must begin this review by prefacing that I do like Rihanna's music and count "We Found Love", "Talk That Talk", "Drunk On Love",and "Roc Me Out" among some of my favorite songs from her "Talk That Talk" cd. Additionally, I do not condone domestic violence regardless of who starts the fight first. With that said, I admit listening to "Fortune" with the belief that many people deserve second chances. Too many everyday people and celebrities frequently give up in life after making mistakes and thinking that their lives are now over. In fact, it is often the opposite and a mistake is only a stepping stone to greater opportunities and pulling oneself back up.
Musical elements of dance, hip hop, and pop are crafted on this cd with party tracks such as "Bassline", "Party Hard", "Free Run" and "Turn Up the Music". "Fortune" by Chris Brown is best for those who have heard and liked Chris Brown's "Beautiful People" and/or hip hop and dance music hybrids. This is mainly because many of the songs on "Fortune" are fashioned from the related theme of "Beautiful People."

1.0 out of 5 stars auto tune on every song! July 3 2012
By Jason A. Yarbrough - Published on Amazon.com
I'm not hating on Chris but this CD is just crap. Overly produced junk. He needs to take more time between Cd's and actually make something more interesting and stop trying to look and sound all "street". Its time to focus on making better music Mr. Brown. And this is not it

1.0 out of 5 stars Chris Brown is "Stuck On Stupid" July 18 2012
By Dj Swizzy - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
His music after the Rihanna attack has become so cocky and big headed its just plain annoying! Yes he can deliver some Dance / Pop hits but he is an R&B artist for gosh sake! The same thing is happening to Usher their all jumping the Dancetronica bangwagon!

2.0 out of 5 stars just aight July 10 2012
By A customer - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
Chris Brown who has been making albums for almost a decade now and he has a decent voice when he is actually singing and not coming off like he is just a dancer and performing on alot of these shows. this album has a modern feel and tone and the sad part his voice is burried underneath a whole lot of nothing. not much to write home about these songs either. if Chris brown wants to ever be on that Next level as a Artist well he has to kick the trendy sounding stuff to the curb in a real way. i wonder what he might sound like with some real instrumentation and a church feel album all the way through? sadly mess like this keeps him at bay and you never know what the cat might actually have as far as the musical goods. his albums don't do a thing for me, because he is never challenged properly as a artist.
