She explores the meaning of God, Life, destiny, and good versus evil - and weaves this all together into a rich, gripping, and masterful tale. I've been on a mission to read all the works of Joanne Greenberg, and one after another they deliver. This one is no exception.

In "Founder's Praise" a highly verbally and emotionally shut-down man starts getting visions and hearing "the voice of God" - insights into truth, life, and philosophy. As the story progresses others become his followers - which he doesn't want or like - and twist his visions to their own purposes...with devastating and very realistic results. In this way Greenberg shows how far a church can stray from the truth of its founder...
