There were a few 'filler' tunes that I hadn't heard before but they were probably written just for the movie. Nonetheless they rounded out the CD nicely and held the driving, funky mood of that era. The well-loved and recognizable hit tunes were among some of the best of that era. The music is more substantial than the movie itself.
The seller was excellent, both price- and delivery-wise.

Brothers' Gonna Work It Out? Aug. 24 2005
By J.A. Johnson - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This very entertaining film closes with a song by the great Willie Hutch, Brothers' Gonna Work It Out (from the 1973 film, The Mack). It's the perfect closing tune for the film and it should be on the CD. What a shame!

Music To My Ears March 23 2008
By Kenny Lloyd - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
This soundtrack came to me as a big surprise. When I saw the movie I thought the soundtrack was going to have different types of rap/hip hop music. The soundtrack went really well with the movie. Then again, how can you go wrong with Marvin Gaye? I'll admit the Jackson 5 song kind of throws of the whole motown feel but as you get into the rest of the CD, its almost hard not to sing along and nod your head to some of the greastest music out there! If you're into motown kind of music then this is definitely a CD not to pass up

Great music complements a great movie July 10 2009
By Carie L. Baugher - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Audio CD
The soundtrack for the movie "Four Brothers" is a great as the movie itself. The music takes you back to those Motown days of soul filled straight to the heart groves. Each song complements the movie in its own special way for that particular movie moment and adds to the character of each actor. The "Four Brothers" soundtrack is a wonderful buy for a step back in time when music speaks to you in only the way Motown can!

Four Brothers Soundtrack June 12 2012

Fantastic soundtrack. Lots of Motown and some hidden Marvin Gaye gems. Haven't stopped listening.
Soundtrack has really introduced me to some not so famous (but great) Marvin Gaye tunes.
