5.0 out of 5 stars What a neat and simple story of sharing. Nov. 9 2001
By A Customer
Format:VHS Tape
Simple production, simple story, but with a strong and endearing message. I can't watch the last 10 minutes with a dry eye in the house. A very thought-provoking movie about what's important in life, and how we share our talents with others. Either you'll love this or hate it, but I think you'll probably like it if you follow the 'golden rule'.

5.0 out of 5 stars the fourth wise man Jan. 14 2001
Format:VHS Tape
I was crying most of the time, a wonderful story of a man who was seeking the Truth, a life long search that ended in victory, he found Jesus Christ, but to his amazement, he had seen him all along because of the verse Jesus gave him, "whatever you have done to the least of these you have done for me". On the mans search, he stopped to help a leper colony and ended up spending his whole life there helping them out. At the end of his life he thought he had missed seeing Jesus but Jesus did appear to him and quoted the above verse. He had been with Jesus his whole life since he had been taking care of "the least of these".

The Fourth Wiseman best portrays two of Jesus's most important gospel injunctions: Master, how may I enter you kingdom? Sell all that you have - - , pick up your cross and follow me! AND - That which you do to these, the least of my brethren, you do unto me!
Martin Sheen gives what I consider his best performance as the wisest of the Wise Men and Alan Arkin plays off against him by humorously and incessantly presenting the conventional and wordly wisdoom. Arkin's role brings lightness to a heavy message. If anyone can give me a clue where I can lay my hands on a new copy of this maserpiece, I will be forever in their debt.

4.0 out of 5 stars SEARCHING FOR JESUS IN ALL THE RIGHT PLACES Nov. 30 1999
Format:VHS Tape
this is a film that should be a modern day classic. i can not tell this story to friends without crying as this movie did touch me that much so long ago. the theme is timeless and a gospel truth. i wholeheartedly recommend this film and can't wait to get it to see it again its been way too long since i have seen it. i feel this would be an excellent film for the whole family as it brings forth the true meaning of charity and sacrifice and all done from a heart that is searching for GOD. young and old will enjoy and be challenged by this film. it is just a beautiful story. GOD bless ad enjoy jb

5.0 out of 5 stars A Wonderful Family Adventure Jan. 4 2000
Format:VHS Tape
The Fourth Wise Man is one of the most wonderful movies I have ever seen. It's the story of a ficticious fourth wise man that missed the rendezvous with the other three leaving in search of the Holy Child. Not willing to give up, the star(Sheen) decides to head out across the desert with only his slave and the supplies bought with one of the three treasures intended as a sacrifice the the baby Jesus. The story builds from the start and ends in a climactic ending that will leave you breathless and teary eye'd. Martin Sheen and Alan Arkin are wonderful together. This is a definate must see!

5.0 out of 5 stars A Masterpiece Feb. 10 1999
By A Customer
Format:VHS Tape
This video shows what man can do to talk about the Bible without hurting the Bible's teachings. It's a story that teaches us a lot, brings a wonderful feeling of "I can, even if it seems difficult' because we are not dependent on man's will, but on God's love and project for our lives. To find God, sometimes we need do to what the man in this picture did... To look for him where we don't think He is To do what we think it's not important... And mainly... to enter God's Time. It is time now for you enter God"s time by watching this video.

5.0 out of 5 stars Inspiring, Awesome story July 11 2000
Format:VHS Tape
This awesome, inspiring video has become a Lenten favorite. I used it with a Bible study years ago and was encouraged to make this an all church program which I did. All who attended agreed that this is one of the finest Christian videos we'd ever seen... perfect for sharing during Lent. It can be used with children aged 9 and older, teens and adults. The previous reviews say it best...so read those as well, and do everything you can to get a copy of this video for your church library and for home viewing. It truly is one of the best there is.
