Product Description

From Amazon.co.uk

If you were challenged to name five rock albums that epitomized the '70s, Frampton Comes Alive! should probably top the list. Former Humble Pie guitarist Peter Frampton recorded a few perfectly fine albums with his band Frampton's Camel, but it wasn't until some of those tracks were recorded at a live performance in San Francisco and released as Frampton Comes Alive! that he became a household name. Buoyant pop, sentimental ballads, arena rock--this album has it all. The double-LP package set sales records and contained three bona fide radio hits ("Baby, I Love Your Way", "Show Me the Way", and "Do You Feel Like We Do?"), one of which, shockingly enough, was over 14 minutes long. No wonder that, to many, the two-and-a-half-minute songs of the Damned and the Sex Pistols felt like a breath of fresh air a year or two later. --Lorry Fleming

Chronique amazon.fr

Ayant battu des records de ventes, il contient trois gros hits radio : "Baby, I Love Your Way", "Show Me the Way" et "Do You Feel Like We Do ?". On comprend mieux pourquoi les chansons de deux minutes et demie des Damned et des Sex Pistols arrivèrent comme un bol d'air pour beaucoup, un ou deux ans plus tard... --Lorry Fleming

If you're reading this Mr. Frampton, this is your best LIVE! Nov 11 2003
By PJ
Format:Audio CD
Having bought your "Frampton Comes Alive" vinyl album in 1976, it's taken 27 years for me to finally see you in concert on November 6, 2003 at Rama, Ontario.

You and Bob Mayo have aged gracefully. I especially miss John Siomos who was an innovative and solid drummer on your album.

Your 20 minute rendition of "Do You Feel Like We Do" at the concert was superb! You are the master Talkboxer and guitarist.

Having sold the vinyl, I bought your remastered CD to replace your original CD a couple of years ago, and it's a faithful reproduction of the vinyl. It's simply a keeper in my CD collection.

I'm sure Amazon.com would like to thank you for mentioning them at the concert.

Disappointing Reissue May 4 2000
By A Customer
Format:Audio CD
Every Frampton fan obviously knows these tunes, my comments here relate to the CD reissue of this classic album.

What you see is what you get, nothing more. No additional bonus tracks, photos, etc. With a running time of 77 minutes, this could have fit on a single CD. Instead, you pay top dollar for a two CD set with half empty CDs. Amazon's whopping discount doesn't help either. After 25 years, Frampton's fans deserve better than this. Surely A&M has made enough off of this monster selling album by now.

If you don't mind overpaying for catalog material and have plucked down for other ripoffs like the Beatles Red and Blue album CD reissues, by all means go and buy this one too. If you have a computer and a good vinyl copy, you're better off saving $ and copying the album off onto a single CD-R, like I did.

By the way, will "Wind Of Change", "Frampton's Camel", and his oother solo albums ever be reissued? If so, I hope they get better treatment than this album did.
