This book is a researcher's dream. Well worth the price. I'm giving it to my 29 year old Granddaughter who should have been born in the 30s. She loves Frank Sinatra and Louis Armstrong.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally Available Hardback Out of Print for Years Dec 4 2011

Great find for Sinatra fans after years of being out of print and expensive. First copy I found and read was at the Library of Congress. Detailed history of recording career of FAS and the men and women he worked with in the recording studio. No mention of personal life or the women he may or may not have known. Disappointed not revised for recording sessions after 1984. Mistakes in first edition that should have been caught in editing the second time arouund were not. Not as good as Mr. O'Brien's work on FAS recording history, but worthy of 30 bucks.
