5.0 out of 5 stars Better than the first album Oct 26 2005
Format:Audio CD
I bought this cd from the uk hmv website becasue i am a spice supporter and i couldn't wait. i've had it since feb 13th, 2004, and let me tell you it wasn't a let down. she has great tracks and great lyrics. very 60's feel which makes it cool because its a different kind of album. some highlights are Free Me, Maybe, I'll Be There, Breathing, Who The Hell Are You, Amazing, and Something So Beautiful. Very good album for the baby spice supporter in you.

5.0 out of 5 stars Like a breath of fresh air Feb 20 2005
By Louis TOP 500 REVIEWER
Format:Audio CD
After her solo debut, "A girl like me", I did not expect to buy more Emma Bunton albums. "A girl like me" was pleasant and enjoyable, but certainly not memorable in any way. Then I read some fantastic reviews of her follow-up, "Free Me", and I decided to give Emma one more chance. And am I glad that I did !

"Free Me", simply put, is an outstanding pop album like they don't make them anymore. Each song is melodic, carefully crafted, beautifully arranged, and Emma's vocals have never sounded better. This album is a much-needed breath of fresh air over today's boring so-called-R&B dominated music business. Those who don't think that "pop music" is a dirty word will certainly agree with me. "Maybe" is the most infectious and catchy song of the 2000s, and one listen will sink it so deep inside your brains that you will not be able to let it go. But there's plenty more on this album : "You are", "Crickets sing for Annamaria", "Tomorrow", "Amazing", "Breathe", "Lay your love on me", the title track and the lovely closing track "Something so beautiful" are all standouts on an album that's simply too good to be true.

I guess all that's left to say is : get over the Spice Girls issue, and RUSH to buy this highly spirited and refreshing album !

5.0 out of 5 stars Emma Bunton here to stay!!! Feb 8 2005

The Emma Bunton's CD is great!! I love the whole album. She has come out with original songs, and her own stlye. My favorite song right now is "Free Me" it's a great song to listen to anytime of the day and has a great energy to it, as does the album it self. I give a lot of credit to Emma going on her own and doing a great job at staying true to herself, and the type of music she put out there for all of us. Her album is great!!!
