Love it!,

I especially love the title of the 2nd chapter - Start Simple, Be Fearless! This is a wonderful book containing the inspiration, designs and enthusiasm to create a freemotion masterpiece. I was absolutely stunned when I saw the minute detail that Judy Woodworth puts into the topstitching process. If you like doodling, this book shows you that it's possible to make your art come to life on fabric. A fabulous teaching tool that covers everything from thread, tension, batting, borders, sashing, to the final finishing techniques. She is an expert and she inspires you to become one yourself.

Worth your while,

"Freemotion Quilting Handbook" is awesome. Her straight forward instructions make it easy to follow and her samples of the techniques in the book along with her explanations are wonderful. She gives permission to copy some of freemotion designs to practice on and pushes you to try making your own designs in a non-judgemental/fully supportitve manner. I definitely recommend this book to anyone who wants to improve their freemotion quilting.

Freemotion quilting for longarmers,

As a longarm quilter, I am always looking for inspiration and techniques. Judy has managed to include information on basic as well as advanced custom quilting techniques. There are many tidbits along the way, such as drawing your design on a piece of plexiglass to audition it, and lots of beautiful photos of quilts as examples. A wonderful resource!
