About the Author
Jean-Pierre Babelon, a member of the Institute, has been, for the past seven years, President of the Museum and the National Domain of Versailles. After the storm of February 1990, he initiated the enormous program of renovation of the garden. His research has concentrated on the architecture, urbanism, and history of Paris. He is the author of several volumes on these subjects, as well as
Versailles: Absolutism and Harmony (Vendome, 1998).
Mic Chamblas-Ploton is an independent journalist who has collaborated with many journals and magazines, as well as the author of many books, including several historical garden books with Jean-Baptiste Leroux.
Jean-Baptiste Leroux is one of the best-known garden and landscape photographers in the world.
