The Bread

“How did modern-day bread come to be? Without bread, there can be no French toast. About the same time that humanity discovered it could stop chasing its food and start growing it, everything changed for us. Suddenly we had time on our hands to build permanent shelters, sleep in the same place every night, pursue hobbies, experiment, and most importantly, time to learn.”

This is just enough to get your mind to thinking about all the possibilities of what you will learn inside this book.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not what I expected Aug. 14 2012

The first part of the book was related to where French Toast originated amd a lot of information that was number one not interesting and number two not related to any recipes. By the time I actually got to the part that was a recipe I had decided the book wasn't worth reading. I did skim through some of the recipes but none of them was something I might want to try.

Not only a very wide range of recipes for and associated with French Toast, both savory and sweet, but also a superb section of
associated bread recipes. Worth getting for those alone.
