Amazing, May 1 2011
By Harvey Schneider - Published on Amazon.com
I recently put one of these blades on my old BT3000 table saw. The only word I have to describe it is "amazing".
The saw went through a piece of 2.5" Maple smoothly and cleanly without bogging down. The cut surface was so smooth that it could have gone to glue-up without any further processing. Cross cuts on plywood show no tearing. I didn't even bother to score the plywood before cutting and I got perfect cuts in both maple and birch plywood.
This blade does generate more wind than the original blade on the saw. So much so that dust collection is much more of a problem than before. I will gladly live with that as long as I am getting these results.
I balked at first about putting such an expensive blade on an old low cost table saw. It was exactly the right thing to do.

Best Blade I Have Ever Used, Mar 2 2011

This review is from: Freud Fusion 10" X 40T X 5/8" Thin Kerf Saw Blade (Misc.)
I did not buy this blade to cross cut plywood, nor did I ever plan on cross cutting plywood with a carbide tipped blade. - but I found myself cross cutting plywood with this blade all afternoon. The cuts have no tearout, and no rough edges. Normally, a blade like this is not very good for cross cuts, but this one is exceptional. I have several saws of varying sizes, and I am buying this blade for each of them. I am not easily impressed, but this blade has impressed the heck out of me.

cutting at near perfection, Feb 18 2011

This review is from: Freud Fusion 10" X 40T X 5/8" Thin Kerf Saw Blade (Misc.)
My previously high rated blade was leaving significant burn marks and scoring on hardwoods, especially cherry that I cut most often. I cleaned the blade, knew it was still sharp and made sure my Powermatic table saw was aligned perfectly, it still burned. This new Freud thin kerf blade corrected all the problems and rip cut (and crosscut)4/4 cherry like "a hot knife through butter". It was a great purchase and well worth the inexpensive price. Note: make sure you purchase the "T" designated blade for thin kerf because the model numbers are otherwise the same.
