There's just no two ways about it - Kane Hodder was born to play Jason, and he is flat-out awesome in Friday the 13th Part VII - The New Blood. Thank goodness for that because the story itself is pieced together with spit and gum, the ending is a little north of over the top, and virtually every death scene was mercilessly cut to satisfy the infernal blowhards at the MPAA. I can understand the necessity for this cinematic butchery in terms of the theatrical release, as an X rating would have seriously cut into box office returns - I don't like it one bit, but I can understand it. What I don't understand is why an unrated version of this film in all of its gory unrated glory has never been released on DVD. What really sticks in my craw, though, is the fact that the VHS and DVD versions of the film have been cut even more than the theatrical release. What Jason fan doesn't love the infamous sleeping bag kill (lovingly recreated in Friday The 13th: Jason X)? In the theatrical release, Jason whacked his victim six times against a tree; on the DVD, though, we only see one whack. That's even more ridiculous than all of the heavy editing that had to be done to begin with. You can go up to the very point of pornography on television now, yet all our fragile little minds supposedly can't handle watching a fictitious killer slam a body (encased in a sleeping bag, no less) six times against a tree. What a total crock. We really ought to be organizing protests against this type of nanny government censorship tyranny.Read more ›

it seems like it.but(as usual)he certainly leaves a lot of carnage in
his wake before that point.will this be the end for our psycho in the
hockey mask?maybe, maybe not.after all,Jason is an unstoppable killing
machine.this 7th installment is decent enough, but slower than the other
6.Terry Kiser is in this one in a serious role, which he does very
well.Lar park Lincoln also stars.there is one really unlikable
character here who i couldn't wait to see killed.as for Jason,it's nice
for him to have an adversary who might be his equal or more
powerful.did i like this installment?sure,i did.the only thing i didn't
like was the slow pace, like i mentioned.it's pretty much that way
through most of the movie.but it's not quite boring.all in all,i give
Friday the 13th Part 7 a 3/5

This film is crazy with scares, suspense, gore, and jason.
The first thing you got to know is if really strong or really nice ,if your not the main character your are going to get sliced and diced by the one and only jason .With some of the same style that keeps these jason movies unforgetable, it keeps its own style to make the sequel great.Kane Hodder plays jason to a t.If you love the jason series you will definetly love this one!

Good God... what am I doing to myself by watching this nonsense?! I mean, really-is this 'blood' really all that new?! Looks pretty much like the same stuff I've seen in the past six go-rounds. You know, stuff like:
- The opening sequence that refers to the events of the past sequels, thereby giving the viewer a quick update before the opening credits roll,
- A group of teenage-to-early-twenty-something types who you know are doomed from the get-go,
- A deadly skinny-dip scene,
- Several kills that reflect the 'Friday' franchise's philosophy of Sex and/or illicit substance use leading to the deaths of the people partaking in such activities,
- Jason tryin' out an array of various hand tools on his victims, as well as other items of convenience (including tent stakes, a motorized weed-whacker, and even a party-favor horn),
- An overall lack of genuine scariness, with most of the kills generating more laughs and groans of disappointment than screams of fright.
- Yadda-yadda-yadda and so on and so forth.
But what's a re-hash without a sad attempt at injecting a little freshness into the mix? That's where our psychokinetically-gifted heroine and her manipulative therapist comes in. Of course, the whole head-case deal was done to death (so to speak) in Part V, but this time the protagonist can actually manipulate stuff with the power of her mind! Which she does of course in the final face-off against undead Jason, which culminates in quite possibly the most illogical and nonsensical ending a 'Friday' flick's been saddled with! Man, was that (anti)climactic moment sad. 'Course, it's not quite as sad as my decision to check out Part VIII! I'm SICK I tell you! SICK!!!
On the upside, the crew did some pretty good make-up appliance effects on Jason here. Ya got'cher exposed bones, rotted-looking flesh, the works. He'd have been right at home in those 'Living Dead' flicks, lemme tells ya...

I love this movie. It is SO scary. Jason finaaly gets a more appropriate look and meets his. But don't let that make you think that Jason will be stopped easily cuz he doesn't. This is definetly one of the best sequels in the friday the 13th series.
The plot is about a girl who aciidently brought jason from his watery grave because she has telkinetic powers. She doesn't get anybofy to believe that she saw some guy come out of the water. Jason goes back to his gory ways. The girl's name is Tina and her powers are her only hope for survival but it won't stop jason easily. Here are some reasons why the movie is ggod:
one-Suspense. Lots of suspence during this film
two- gore. Definelty more gore then pt 6. This film had lots of awesome killing.
three- creativity- This movie is different. Here we have a girl with powers. It is a new fresh idea.
four-Weapons. So many things were used by Jason. He used atleast seven different items as a weapon. May even more!!!!!!!
five-topless chicks. Although pt 6 was good, it didn't have any nudity. This film did!
Anyway, this film is good and 'i highly suggest gettting it.
