Finally! A book written by a survivor! This book changed my life. Lucinda has a way of making you feel like you are not alone and that there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Her techniques have enabled me to take back control and almost eleviate my attacks entirely. Thank you!

Some strong, positive focus phrases,
By A Customer
This review is from: From Panic To Power (Paperback)
Professionally I'm a very effective teacher, administrator and facilitator so I wasn't looking for setting goals of what I want to accomplish in that segment of my life. Lucinda encourages that. However I am just climbing up out about 3 years of life's extremes and in recent months panic attacks, which I've experienced during times of extreme stresses over the years, had returned full force. This book gave me some hand-holds to grab and has meant a great deal.Lucinda's quote by Shakespeare led me to be able to name what I really was seeking....."My crown is content". CONTENTMENT. That in itself is a goal. If what I'm doing doesn't lead to contentment then it needs to be reassessed and possibly eliminated. She also reinforced for me that *I* am my own place of safety and that "everything is alright EXACTLY AS IT IS". She led me to check my foundation and then to act on it. I am very grateful for finding this book right at this time.

Read ONLY if have very mild anxiety-otherwise dangerous,

This review is from: From Panic To Power (Paperback)
I have been fighting Generalized Anxiety Disorder for several years. Most of this time has been spent trying to manage the manifestations of GAD - anorexia, depression, agoraphobia, panic attacks and so on. If you are someone who really is only a "worrier" and plays "what-if" games with yourself, then this book is for you. However, if you have more serious anxiety issues, throw this book into the trash. It's dangerous to tell someone who is depressed, fighting a multitude of problems, that this disease is their fault. When fighting anxiety and your feeling of loss of control, to be told this situation is your fault is devastating. People with our disease often consider suicide to escape the pain, the guilt etc. The approach in this book is very dangerous in the wrong hands. Do not read these type of "mass psychology" without seing and talking with your physican first. This one is irresponsible and could lead someone to take drastic measures to alleviate their pain. Throw this book out and don't read it first!!
