Product Description

Product Description

This book is a transcription of a blog kept by a determined young woman living with malignant melanoma. It's the story of her hopes and dreams, and how they morphed into the new reality of anger and frustration that she experienced while grieving for her own life. She coped by focussing on the present, and living in "the now"; and by sharing some of the many fun and happy events she squeezed into a very short time, and for which she was extremely thankful. Some words from Sarah's mom: I don't know why Sarah started writing her blog almost two years after diagnosis; I only learned of it by accident about three months before her death. I do know that she touched the hearts of many people in telling her story, and made numerous online friends from around the world. Shortly after Sarah died, several people suggested that her blog be made into a book with the hope that it could provide some perspective and advice to others travelling the same path, from someone who has "been there". While everyone's experience with melanoma is different, it is my hope that Sarah's story will provide some background and guidance with regard to working with the health care system, and some solace to know that others have gone before and ultimately found peace.
