I purchased both the Frommer's and Fodor's guide to the Caribbean Ports of Call. I did so after already booking my criuse to the region. I already knew my departure port and my ports of call. This book would have been more helpful in the earlier planning stages, before booking a cruise. It does a really good job of talking about the different cruise lines, the departure ports and the ports of call. Since I already knew this information, it only took me 45 minutes to read all the information about my destinations. Though, in general, I prefer Fodor's guides, this guide did contain information on the best excursions offered by the cruise companies where the Fodor guide did not.
