3.0 out of 5 stars Maps not up to Frommer's standards Oct 26 2009
By M-and-K - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
The text and suggestions are actually pretty good, and benefit from the fact that attractions are rated (so you more easily tailor what you see based on how much time you have); the supporting maps, however, are a complete embarrassment: they're either insufficient (the one for Old Dubai/the souks is a complete joke and you can't rely on it to see what the text points to), or are completely wrong (for example attractions in Al Bastakiya, which should also have its own map, are in the wrong place!!). Totally shameful, and am sure the editor is no longer at Frommers.

1.0 out of 5 stars Just ok July 7 2009
By Lauren A. Rakvic - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback|Amazon Verified Purchase
This book provided enough detail, but seemed to be a little disorganized. Also, maps are not good, as we got lost trying to find the historic region.
2.0 out of 5 stars No photos Jan 26 2013

Photos is a must in a travel guide. This travel guide has almost none. The text by itself is ok.
