Great travelling tool,

This review is from: Frommer's Florence and Tuscany Day by Day (Paperback)
Just came back from a 2 week stay in beautiful Tuscany-Umbria. This book is ideal to know what to see even for a short stay in different regions ... with local maps, full of information, places to eat, things to see. It was a good working tool for us - glad I purchased it!

The one to take!,
By Pamela A. Lis - Published on Amazon.com
This review is from: Frommer's Florence and Tuscany Day by Day (Paperback)
This is a great resource and I am happy to have found the series. No one wants to carry around a heavy, cumbersome guide book while touring. This book is a manageable size and weight. It has a chart with bus routes, a small map in front, detailed areas mapped throughout, and a removable, fold-out map with a pocket in the back to hold it. There are suggested tours to guide you, depending on your time frame. Its descriptions are short but for more details I would suggest reading other guide books before hand to get a better idea of what you want to do and see and coordinate it with the Frommer's. No one guide book is going to give you everything you need and want but Frommer's Day by Day has so many of the elements of a good guide book, it's the one to carry with you.

This is a compact excellent review. Easy to carry. Not a lot of detail, but enough to help decide where to go, where to eat, what to do in Tuscany. Restaurant guide was right on. If you want a really detailed guide to Tuscany, this may not be enough, though the guide to Florence was quite detailed and inclusive. It definitely help make our trip a success.
