The smaller content of this guidebook was enough to help me decide what we wanted to see over the three days of our visit, but not overwhelming with detail. Descriptions of accommodations, sights, transportation, shopping, weather - all of it was accurate. For people with limited time to plan, concise guidebooks such as this can be much friendlier to use than the larger guidebooks. We also purchased the larger Frommer's guidebook of Austria because we were traveling throughout the country and book size doesn't matter too much in the back seat of a car, but we never used the larger book for Salzburg. We definitely recommend both visiting Salzburg and this guidebook.
