The end of something beautiful, Jun 13 2004
This review is from: Fruits Basket: V.4 The Clearing Sky (ep.20-26) (DVD)
My friend bought Furuba a while ago and I was so addicted that i immediately bought up all four DVDs for myself at once! But now the long-ish road has come to an end and this series has the makings of a mini-classic. We'll all have our favourites by now! Do you like moody Kyo? Grinning Tohru? Serious but kind Hatori? Or maybe you even love phsycotic Akito? Whoever gains your support in these final episodes, be sure to bring some tissues! This DVD is also packed with extras, for plenty of after-veiwing enjoyment!

Superb, May 16 2004
This review is from: Fruits Basket: V.4 The Clearing Sky (ep.20-26) (DVD)
Fruits Basket is quite an interesting anime, at first the show seems to over the top, and can turn off potential viewers with the giant eyes and the crazy fan club girls, but on episode two the show really kicks off, and with the introduction of new characters, each of whom are unique and different in their own way and devolop quite a bit over the course of the series, the show becomes even funnier, as a note Fruits Basket has an amazing dub, for those who like dubs, in fact, most of the time I watch this series dubbed.
As a note I consider the Fruits Basket DVDs to be really the first truely amazingly done DVDS, at the time (Or at least to my knowledge) most Anime discs had 2-5 episodes and th only features were textless endings (Can you say crappy and boring?) but Fruits basket has not only previews for other Funimation stuff, but interviews, a documentary of the "eye catches" (Which are explained in the documentry) and even behind the scenes footage. AND 6 episodes per disc, and the disc has 3 regions, any fan of special features would freak out, why the only way they could get any better would be is if it came with a poster or something rather.
Overall I suguest Fruits Basket to anyone who is willing to give it a chance, the anime has elements from many genres and is a perfect balance of Comedy and Character devolopment.

the best anime, April 21 2004

This review is from: Fruits Basket: V.4 The Clearing Sky (ep.20-26) (DVD)
This anime is by far my favorite. I have seen alot of anime. The first 113 episides if Inuyahsa, the first 7 of Galaxy Angel, the Ruroini Kenshin movie, most of the Miyazaki movies. Still this movie is the best. Better than love Hina, better than all of the diffrent 125 anime shows that I have seen. I is perfect. My favorite caractor is Yuki-kun. The plot had lovable caractors, great animation, perfict music to make the mood. I just love it. I love fighting anime as much as the next person. Yu Yu Hakusho was a thrill, yet this just hits the funny bone the right way. In the last three episodes I cried. I felt like jumping into the TV and hugging Kyo Yuki and Tohru. Akito has got to be my least favorite caractor of all anime! I punched the TV 0.0 I wish that I was a Juunishi.
