5.0 out of 5 stars Joyfully Reviewed: Vampire Justice! April 27 2008
By Natalie S - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
Sent to Miami in search of a killer rogue vampire, Claude d'Argent
overhears two enforcers of a drug lord threatening a woman in the back
alley of a strip club. Sensing the woman's fear but arriving too late
to catch the goons, Claude goes into the club to search for the woman.
He finds her dancing on the stage! Immediately aroused, Claude pays
another stripper to give her a message to meet him after her dance
ends. Once the show is over, Claude sees the woman heading towards
him. Suddenly, he doesn't care that she is a stripper. He has to have
her; and have her he will, until he tires of her.

Marisa Delgado is at her wits end. Sticking to a promise made to her
dying mother, she has to find the money to save her younger brother
from drug dealers. Coming to the conclusion that it's the only way to
get the money her brother needs, Marisa decides to prostitute herself
for the next 48 hours. Looking throughout the club hoping for a
miracle man, Marisa dances seductively on the stage. Her eyes meet
Claude's and she instantly knows that she has found her john. When a
fellow stripper gives Marisa a message from Claude, she doesn't
hesitate to sit on his lap and ask him for what she wants. Claude
agrees to her proposition without question and they walk to Claude's
hotel. After a night of sinful, delectable sex Marisa doesn't count
on falling in love, nor does she count on wanting Claude to be her
Master forever.

If I were going to have a vampire Master, Claude would be my man.
Devilishly handsome, muscular, and innately kind, he was a perfect hero
for Marisa, and for me. Marisa was the second half to Claude's whole
in that she wanted to live with him and be his mate in all things. I
especially liked her sense of family, and more importantly, her wanting
to keep the promise of taking care of her younger brother.

Vampire Justice starts out with a family meeting and plans are made to
catch "the Fox". However, I don't feel as if anything was accomplished
towards that goal after reading this book. Ann Jacobs is a wonderful
writer but I am somewhat disappointed in that not a lot was done or
explored about this Fox character. Hopefully, that will be for another
installment in this series. That aside, Vampire Justice is a hot,
quick read that will get your blood flowing. I look forward to more
books in the d'Argent Honor Series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Recommended Read Jan 14 2012
By Bella March - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Kindle Edition
Miami Detective Lieutenant Mara Leone has a job to do. A recent string of murders in the South Beach area has her believing the serial killer is a vampire. A vampire who drains his female victims of their blood, leaving their dead bodies holding a white rose.

Mara can't trust anyone to help her, especially not another vampire. She's had a vampire lover in the past, and after heartbreak, she's not going to trust another. But when Alexandre d'Argent shows up on the scene, telling her that conventional mortal ways won't kill the infamous ancient, Louis Reynard, she has no choice but to team up with the sexy vamp to get the job done.

As Mara and Alex search for the immortal killer, they come to realize their attraction for each other and as their bond strengthens, so does the energy they need to take down the elusive Reynard.

Eternal Victory is hot, hot, hot! The blatant sexuality of Alex sizzles off the page, and as the tension builds between Alex and Mara, I thought the book was going to melt!

When I first met Alex, like Mara, the attraction was instantaneous. I was drawn in, seduced by his charm and hypnotized by his intense green eyes and Alpha strength. I yearned for more.

Alex's assistant, Philippe, another vampire, tugged at my heart. His reasons for wanting Reynard are very personal. Reynard destroyed his lover, and he's been in mourning ever since. I hope Ann Jacobs writes Philippe's story soon!

The suspense of searching for Reynard, of finding more victims, and of hoping the d'Argent clan would prevail combined with the darker side of seductive vampire sex makes this story a thoroughly Recommended Read. The only thing I didn't like was that the story ended! Ms. Jacobs, bravo for a wonderful story. I look forward to reading more about the d'Argents in the very near future.

2.0 out of 5 stars 2.5, 2 and 1.5 stars for three erotic vampire stories. Aug 26 2008
By Jane - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Paperback
2.5 stars for VAMPIRE JUSTICE (Book 1).
Pretty good story, but the plot was a little weak. This is the first story in a series about two vampire clans. Louis is leader of the Reynard clan. He is killing humans. Claude is from the d'Argent clan. He is trying to find Louis to kill him to stop the murders. While Claude is watching the streets, he sees a human stripper Marisa being harassed by two men in an alley. After she goes into the club, Claude goes in to watch her perform. He is immediately attracted to her. Her brother Raul owes money to a drug lord and will be hurt or killed if she doesn't come up with some money to help him. She offers herself to Claude as a prostitute (for the first time for her) to get $2,000. He agrees and they go to his room. Sex scenes include body piercings and rear door. Louis plays no further part in this story, but fights the d'Argents in the second story titled Eternally His, published in a separate book.

Story length: 57 pages. Sexual language: strong/erotic. Number of sex scenes: four. Setting: present day Miami Beach, Florida. Copyright: 2006. Genre: erotic paranormal romance.

2 stars for ETERNAL SURRENDER (Book 3).
Ok, not bad, but still not worth buying the book. Nothing grabbed me or felt special. There was no emotional buildup for me, just a lot of explicitly described sex scenes. Alina is queen of her vampire clan. She meets Sam, a human. Sam is a dominant and frequently goes to a sex club for dominants and submissives. Alina likes giving up sexual control to Sam. Louis Reynard is the bad vampire in all four of these stories. One of his clan tries to kill Alina for him, but nearly kills Sam instead. Sex scenes include body piercings, rear door, guys with guys and multiple partner orgies.

CAUTION SPOILERS.
To save Sam's life, Alina turns him into a vampire. Now he must be a submissive to her because Alina is the queen, but his nature is to be dominant.

Story length: 87 pages. Sexual language: strong/erotic. Number of sex scenes: ten plus. Setting: 2006 New Orleans, Louisiana, and Paris, France. Copyright: 2007. Genre: erotic paranormal romance.

1.5 stars for ETERNAL VICTORY (Book 4).
Lots of sex, not much plot. I prefer more story and emotional buildup. While reading it, I wanted it to be over. Louis Reynard continues killing human females. Alexandre and Philippe try to follow him and hope to kill him. Mara (a human) is the homicide detective assigned to the case. She and Alexandre work together on the case and fall in love. Sex scenes include body piercings, rear door, guys with guys and multiple partner orgies.

Story length: 67 pages. Sexual language: strong/erotic. Number of sex scenes: six. Setting: present day Miami Beach, Florida. Copyright: 2007. Genre: erotic paranormal romance.
