Full house was one of the few wholesome shows on TV. Most problems fixed within the half hour show. A story of three girls who lost their mom and are raised by their dad, uncle as well as another male friend. Its cheesy, funny and lame at times but worth all the craziness to share with another generation. I bought all the seasons and it keeps Toddlers well entertained. The only draw back is constantly hearing the song in-between shows. However its nice to watch them grow up on all the seasons and it also teaches kids that not everyone has a Mommy and Daddy at home but every family has love for each-other no matter the day to day issues of growing up.

If you're a fan of the show, it's great being able to watch this in the order the episode were originally broadcasted. The episodes are still as lovable as I remember! (Although corny and predictable...and all the other things critics said about the show.) Like someone else said, this is a great show for children, since the show deals with some major issues (death, heartache, family problems) in a way appropriate for children. However, the DVD set doesn't contain many extras. As advertised, there are 2 episodes with commentary by Jeff Franklin, an episode with trivia, and the original pilot. But the commentary and the trivia episode have pretty basic trivia like "Dave Coulier plays Joey...He's not the girls' real uncle". The original pilot is interesting, but only because I find it interesting to think that Danny Tanner could have been played by a someone besides Bob Saget. It would have been nice to have some outtakes, interviews with the cast, updates on actors, audition takes, better packaging, etc.

I had been wanting the whole Full House Series for a few years and finally decided to treat myself. Thankfully I had finished the whole series before it came out on Netflix or I probably would have been a tad disappointed. On the other hand, there are so many times its more useful to actually own the dvds. There isn't always internet access everywhere and Netflix chooses to remove items all the time. I'm excited to take these out to the lake for rainy days :)

If you liked the show, I'm sure you'll enjoy the first season on DVD. There aren't a lot of special features (Unaired Pilot featuring a different actor as Danny) but the whole first season is there. It's maybe a bit expensive for an older series, but it occasionally comes on sale.

I'm showing the Full House First Season to my nephew's children who are 9 and 11. They are laughing just as hard as I did when I was watching the show with my children. In fact, I'm still laughing. The characters are still adorable.
