Matt Greoning's Futurama series aired from 1999-2003 and the boxed sets of each seasons had been previously released. The show had appeal with fans of animated comedy shows and immediatly caught the viewer's attention with its histerical humor and the creativity it had.Futurama's "Monster Robot Maniac Fun" DVD came out in 2005 featuring four episodes from the series, one of each of its four seasons(it has been brought back in January 2008 for its fifth season). The episodes themselves are pretty good but this release is aimed towards casual fans of the show or simply those who want to get in the series(there are new fans each year)or those who don't have any episodes. The episodes included are "Hell Is For Other Robots",a great Bender episode,"Anthology Of Interrest I" in wich Farnsworth introduces his "what if..." machine and we have three stories in that episode,"Roswell That Ends Well"(a 2002 Emmy winning episode!) in wich the Planet Express crew go back in 1947 and Fry changes his past. The last episode is "The Sting" wich was the in the last episodes of the series,a sci-fy parody. Those episodes are good but they should have had included "Anotholy Of Interrest II" wich was much better than the first but i understand that they wanted an episode form each season. Those are definatly some of the greatest episodes the show has ever made. The problem is that it doesn't have anything else besides an introduction by Matt Groening the creator of the show, wich means clearly no bonus features or anything to attract thos ewho like me already own season sets. This is stricly for the category of people mentionned in the first paragraph be advised. If you have the sets then this is useless. If not then it is worth getting to find wheter or not Futurama is for you.I wouldn't recommend this unless you don't have any DVD season sets, there is not enough on this DVD.Recommended?I would still go for the season sets, that is if you have the money and love the show.I love the episodes but this isn't worth it for me.2 stars wich i think is good enough for what it is.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not worth it Aug 23 2012
If you already have the box sets, this DVD is not worth your time and money. If you don't have the box sets, get them! This has what? A couple episodes from seasons 2-3? Nope. Just Fox looking to make a cheap buck or two.
