4.0 out of 5 stars Good, still DEL Oct. 19 2005
By brandon
Format:Audio CD
Alright, this might not be Dels best work but you cant !CANT! hate on this cd , if you do try sleeping on it. Anyone who says Del and the hiero crew have fell off need to reconsider the statement. There is so many awesome tracks on this cd I couldnt believe the one review on this website , oviously him/her didnt know what they were talking about. Also Del has Produced the beats on this album and most put at werk without a doubt. Respect the innavaters of hip-hop , fkn toys!

2.0 out of 5 stars No Way Del's Best Work. June 12 2004
Format:Audio CD
Man, it really makes me sad. I have liked Del since MY BROTHER GEORGE... and the video for Misterbobdobalina; but this is the worst.
There is nothing really good I can say about this album besides it is really that long.
Don't buy it if you want to hear what Del and Heiroglyphics are capable of. This album is a poor representation of a great artist.

4.0 out of 5 stars The Lost Album Sept. 22 2004
By Gift - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
First of all, please do not pay this much money for this record. You can easily get a normal-priced copy on Hieroglyphics.com. Well, this is it, Del's lost album. As many know, Del was dropped off Elektra before this album got released. And despite how lame it is on some level that that happened to our good friend Del, it was probably for the best. Souls of Mischief were dropped off their label at roughly the same time and this led Hiero to band together, pool all the money they could, and independently release 3rd Eye Vision. Well, I must say 3rd Eye is one of my favorite hip hop albums, and it put the whole Hiero crew back on the map while simultaneously establishing the Hieroglyphics emporium. I've had a bootleg cassette copy of this album for years that I got off the Hiero web site, and I was really glad to see it finally properly released. This is a tight Del album all the way through, though maybe not his best. I would highly recommend this album to any serious Del or Hiero fan. It's not at all a fluke of a record. If you've never bought a Del album, or you've only got Deltron 3030, I would start with No Need For Alarm. If you really love Del or Hiero, this album is a must for any completist collection.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great CD Jan. 8 2004
By bryan wright - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
This is Del's second best work (Deltron 3030 was the best), but it is still light years ahead of 99.9% of hip-hop. Only thing though is that you can buy this CD for 15 bucks on hieroglyphics.com
So dont get ripped off by Amazon.com

5.0 out of 5 stars Still one of the dopest Hip Hop Cd's Feb. 4 2004
By Adam P Boots - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
I've been a fan of Hiero for quite some time now and it took me a while to get into this album. It's a bit newer of a style for Del, but more of something that only he could do too.
There are lots of standout tracks, especially "Del's Nightmare" which I believe is probably the reason that the album was dropped by Elektra and not released in the states. I suggest this to anyone, but don't bother paying import prices on it. Go to the ([...]) website and order a copy from there for regular CD prices... And while you're there, check out Casual's Truck driver and Pep Love's Ascension Side C. You can't them here, but they're both great.
Future Development is definitely a standout Del Album, with Deltron 3030 and I wish my Brother George was here. Pick it up as soon as possible, it's well worth your while...

4.0 out of 5 stars Del the Funky Homosapien - "Future Development" Nov. 13 2003
By Steven Escobar - Published on Amazon.com
Format:Audio CD
My boy Hannan put me on to Del a couple of years ago and after listening to his "Both Sides..." LP, I was definately impressed with the production and both Del's delivery and lyrics. Del isn't your average emcee, as he isn't afraid to experiment with different ideas and genres (hence the Gorrilaz and Deltron 3030 projects and the song "Proto Culture" which is a track off the "Both Sides..." LP that he devoted to video games...haha), and I don't expect everyone to take a liking to him, but true hip-hop heads should definately peep his "Both Sides..." LP and this one as well, as well as some of the work he did with his crew, Hieroglyphics. The songs "Corner Story" and "Don't Forget the Bass" are two excellent tracks off this CD that definately display both Del's lyrical prowess and story-telling ability, as on "Corner Story" he describes a stroll through his neighborhood. Anyways, my review doesn't do this CD justice by any means, so if you're a fan of Hiero, Del, or just hip-hop in general, go cop this CD right now, because it's one that most people have never heard of before and it's one you definately need in your collection (the only other way I know of getting this CD is off the Hieroglyphics website...never seen it in stores!).
