4.0 out of 5 stars Séries de F'Murrr Le génie des alpages Oct 3 2010
By Brant
Format:Album

If you read French, this strip is a good introduction to the mind-bending wordplay, allusion and intellectual playfulness of the French comic strip--which unlike so many American juvenile products are designed to appeal to children, jaded teenagers, and college professors not only on the level of camp or kitsch, but on many other levels. It'll give a reader of any age a mental workout and a lot of laughs. Even after re-reading many times, it's still a constant puzzlement to me, although I have nearly all of F'Murrr's books. Start at the beginning if you can, although the strips are not consecutive and can be read as completely free-standing exercises in comedy and surrealism.

This volume is the latest in the series. Collect them all.
