Save money with the MWFINT version! It's the same as the MWF!, Mar 21 2011

This review is from: GE MWF Water Filter (MWFINT)
**UPDATE (5/27/11): These USED to be cheaper than the regular MWF version. It seems to vary from day to day which is actually cheaper now.**
My original review:
Like most people who are looking for a GE SmartWater replacement filter I came across the GE SmartWater MWFINT filter. It appeared very similar to the GE SmartWater MWF filter, but I wanted to do some digging because I didn't want to buy the wrong filter.
Here's what I found: Both are genuine GE refrigerator filters that remove the exact same contaminants. They also have the same NSF certifications and they both fit into the exact same model refrigerators.
What's different: The color of the graphic label on the front of the cartridge and the price (The INT version is cheaper).
Installation of the new filter was incredibly easy, and after following the instructions on "flushing" the new filter for a few minutes, I enjoyed a delicious glass of clean, filtered water.

Save Money for the Same OEM Filter, July 14 2011

This filter is made by GE for the non-US markets, however is for all intensive purposes the same as the US version which costs around ten dollars more. I don't see any reason not to buy this filter (MWFINT) over the US one (MWF), unless you like spending more money.

Makes my chemical-ridden Philly water taste like spring water from a bottle (or at least like filtered bottle water, lol).
