Should have bought the official Amazon case,

When I first bought this case there were no pictures of what I was going to get, but it was the cheapest case on Amazon.ca for a Kindle and actually one of the only few. I was disappointed afterwards to find that it doesn't use the locking hinge and that there are straps in the corners to hold the Kindle down. I should have guessed that from the pictures of other GTMax cases. Why bother putting all those straps all over the place when there's a hinge locking system designed to keep the Kindle in a case? Those straps also add a little bit to the overall thickness and I don't see the point in making a border to go around the keypad. I'm thinking that I probably should have spent the extra $15 for the Kindle case made by Amazon.com.

I am happy with the product. The quality of the leather and the fit of the Kindle in the product was excellent. My case has a small problem - The contact cement that hold two parts together has failed. I have stitched it back together. It looks good.Overall, it does the job of protecting my Kindle well. I'd buy another!

The cover works as expected. but the fit is a bit off - the loops at the top of the case are not the same size and one of them is not in the right place. On the other hand it is easy to read with and protect the Kindle esp. in transport.
